Stephen Winters has been using computers since 1985, and has been using and studying QuickBooks since 1998. He enjoys computers and QuickBooks, and he wants to help you share his enthusiasm. It is our mission to help you to become proficient and to enjoy using QuickBooks. We believe the best way to achieve this goal is to first tell you what you will be learning, then to show you how, and finally to walk you through the process step by step.
Company Owners: Stephen & Emmy Winters
Stephen Winters has used QuickBooks in his own upholstery business, Winters Sewing, since 1998. He has a passion for computers and studies and explores various programs, such as QuickBooks, as a hobby, and also to learn the programs better. He is self taught, using the help systems contain within QuickBooks, searching out questions on the Internet, and using the QuickBooks manual. He is also a member of a QuickBooks e-mail list, comprised of bookkeepers, accountants, and other business people.
Emmy Winters has been using QuickBooks in our upholstery business for the last couple of years. She also takes care of the house, home schools their children, answers the phones, and answers questions.
Why is Stephen teaching QuickBooks?
He really enjoys using computers and QuickBooks. These are fun for him. He has been using QuickBooks in his own upholstery business since 1998, and has experienced a complete change, for the better, in his own finances, just by learning to use QuickBooks. He has had to change the ways that he does things to better align with QuickBooks, and this has been really good for him and for his business. In using QuickBooks he has so much better grasp of his financial situation, and is able to make much better financial decisions. Once the financial records are correctly entered into QuickBooks up to date, it only takes a few mouse clicks to see one’s financial condition in an instant. Before Stephen and his wife make any major financial decisions, they go into QuickBooks and see what bills are due, what money is coming in, and how much money is in the bank. This is wonderful to be able so see their bills and income at the touch of a button. This has often saved them from the disaster of spending money that they don’t have.
After Using QuickBooks for a few years now, Stephen has wanted to share the joy of this financial peace of mind with others, and begun teaching others.
Learning QuickBooks can be fun, as illustrated by one example. Another businessman, recently told Stephen that he’s a good teacher and that he really enjoys Stephen’s teaching methods. At another time this businessman said that he now really enjoys using QuickBooks, it is becoming fun to him. Before he started learning, he was overwhelmed with trying to work with QuickBooks. No matter how hard he tried, he just couldn’t make sense of it. Now he has had a complete change in his whole attitude. He used to hating how bad he felt about his lack of understanding of accounting or of QuickBooks. Now he is becoming quite confident and proficient at much of the basics.
Stephen’s wife has also told him numerous times that, since he am pretty knowledgeable about computers and enjoys them so much, I ought to do something, to make a living, with computers. So I have decided to share my knowledge and the fun and excitement of computers and QuickBooks with others.
